celebration.

Decorative Character Bags -
It's was a few days before a client's party and she called me in a panic.
She had misjudged the size and amount of favors she had and they wouldn't
fit in the little plastic party bags. I quickly told her give me some
time and I will get back to her. I immediately went into my craft room with
the theme of her party in my thoughts. What did I have on hand to create a
fun and unique container for her favors? A plain gift bag, glue,
wiggle eyes, craft foam paper, colored paper and marker was all I needed to
create her a character bag. A Dora The Explorer Backpack party bag!
If your party includes a character, try making a bag with the character's face
on it. Or for any theme, just add decorative die cuts, ribbons, or other
embellishments that match your theme.

Fabric Square - Themed
fabrics or bandanas are available at craft and fabric stores. These make
great party favor holders. Place items in the center of the square,
pull the four corners of the square up and together, tie with a small rubber
band and tie off with a ribbon or raffia.

Themed Containers - Mini version of
themed items filled with favors are fun to make. For example, use these
plastic Tiki cups and fill with treats for a Luau party. Wrap cup in
cellophane and tie off with raffia. Mittens are great for Winter
parties. Fill one mitten with treats and pin the other to it.
-
Pails - You can find tin or plastic
pails in assorted colors to fill with party favors. Preferably ones with
handles so it makes it easy to carry. Wrap your favors in cellophane,
tie off with a ribbon and then place inside the pail or wrap the entire pail
in the cellophane and finish as instructed. For children's parties you
can pre-paint pails to match your theme or make it a craft activity and let
guest paint on their own pails. Do this as an opening activity. By the
time the parties over, their pails will be dry.

For a Fireman Party, paint black polka
dots and guest name on white pails, wrapped the entire tin in cello and
tie off with red ribbons.
