Add a change of season to your home and be ready for any fall party!

Make your home change with the seasons by adding touches of fall harvest around your home.  Below I have listed some easy ways to make your home welcoming this fall and also to be ready for any upcoming fall parties or simply ready for any last minute visitors. Click on photos to enlarge.

• Add color to your outdoor entry way and door. A simple fall wreath on the door and some flowers by the door. You can use artificial mums as shown in the photo or replace summer plants in your planters with mums. 

• Fill bare corners in your entry way or hallways, add a little fall scene with some bushels, a scarecrow, crows, foam pumpkins and squash.

• Change out your candles in your candle holders to fall colors.

• Add decorative picks to your potted plants or candle holders.

• Change the season on your fireplace mantel, by adding autumn colored glass, candles, decorative picks, pumpkins, Indian corn or gourds.

• Fill bowls with silk autumn leaves, mini real or felt pumpkins, acorns, pine cones or gourds. You can find artificial leaves, acorns, and pumpkins at most craft stores.

• Add autumn colored ribbons.  Use ribbons as napkin rings and add a decorative fall pick to it. 

• Change out your table runners to fall themed runners or use fabric to create a new fall runner.  Add some ceramic pumpkins, glass leaf bowls with plastic acorns.

• Add fall floral arrangements or create ones with flower picks. This wine bottle holder turned into a nice decorative vase.

• Prop a few scarecrows on your couches or chairs around the house.
