Santa Theme - Holiday Partyware
Ho Ho Ho!

Set your party table with the Jolly table pattern, mix and match it with Holiday Solids or use our new fun kids plates.

Set up four tables around the room for Santa Workshop stations. If needed cover the table with solid color table coverings, alternate green and red.

Use a balloon tied to a weight and write the table # with permanent black marker on the balloon. This identifies the station tables.

Make a Santa wall scene using our Santa decorama set. Add two balloon columns on each side. It's a great spot to take a party picture.

You can make balloons columns using green/white, red/green or red/white balloons.  Here are  instructions to follow:  balloon columns

From the ceilings, hang our Very Merry dangles of Silver Snowflakes, Red Santas and Green Trees.

Hang a Santa door curtain over the entry way into the party room or hallway.

Use holiday stamps or stickers and have children decorate brown paper gift bags to take home their crafted gifts.

Holiday Crackers

Have each child make one or two holiday crackers.

Supplies:

  • Scissors

Directions:

  • Precut pieces of wrapping paper twice the width of the tubes and long enough to wrap around them. If using paper towel rolls, cut them in half before the party.

  • Let each child pick a piece of wrapping paper. Have them center their tube in the middle. Wrap one end around the tube and secure with a piece of tape. roll the remaining side and secure with tape.

  • Take one end of the cracker and gently tie the end with a ribbon.

  •  Now fill the tube from the open end with favors

  • Add a small jingle bell inside or tie it to the ribbon before closing the second end of the cracker.

GAME IDEAS
Pass the snowball - Play like Hot Potato, but pass an oversized foam ball to some fun Winter music.  Pin the Carrot on the Snowman - Cut out little carrot shapes from paper or foam craft using the Snowman Artist plate insert below for a template.  Also, make an enlarge copy of the entire face. You and your child can color the face. You can then cut out two large white circles for the rest of the body and put it on a blue poster board. Hang the poster on a door or wall to play the game.  Number the carrot game pieces or write each guests name on them to easily see who's carrot is closest. The closest to the original nose outline wins.   Snowflake Hunt - Prior to the party make pairs of paper snowflakes, enough pairs for each guest. Make sure the designs are distinct enough tell apart.  Before your guest arrive, hide snowflakes around the party room or just hang them on the walls for decorations.  Put the remaining snowflakes in a bag. Have each guest pick a snowflake. After everyone has a snowflake, tell them they must find their matching snowflake in the room.  The first to find his/her match wins!  Tip: To make it harder for older kids, cut out additional snowflakes without a matching pair, so there are more to compare against.

12 Days of Christmas Hunt

You will need two sets of objects or photos that represent the 12 days of Christmas song.  Prior to the start of the party, you need to hid all 24 objects or photos around the party room or rooms.  Divide guest into two teams and give them a list of the 12 days of Christmas. Give each team a sack and let them hunt for the items. The team that has found all 12 items wins!

Xmas Trivia

Prior to the party, write up on index cards Xmas trivia questions. Make enough for each guest to answer at least 2 questions.  Divide guest into 2 or 3 teams. The game goes in a round robin manner, in which each team has one team member take a turn to answer a trivia question. Points are awarded for right answers. You may want to make a 10, 20, and 50 point system, with harder questions worth more points.  Or just give each team 11 pt for each right answer.  The team with the most points at the end of the game wins!
