Hat Contest 

What or Who Am I?

Old Fashion Games

With your invitation, ask your guest to wear their most Creative Patriotic Hat, homemade creations are the best! Let them know that there will be contest. Make sure to give the winner a fun prize. 

Prior to your party, create tags to be taped on your guest backs ( white name tag sheets work great).  Each tag will represent a person, place or thing that is related to the Celebration of the U.S.A.  For example, a place could be the Ellis Island; a thing - Declaration of Independence; a person - Betsy Ross.  

As your guest arrive, you put a tag on their back.  They must try to guess what they are by asking "yes" or "no" questions ONLY to other guests. Like, "Am I a Person?" Another guest would answer, "No." You cannot ask the same guest more than two questions. This encourages mingling among other guests whether they know them or not. 

You can set a time limit or the say the first three win a prize.   

How about some old-fashion fun and laughs with these games.

For a neighborhood gathering plan a parade of decorated bikes, wagons and strollers and have everyone meet at a starting point to decorate.  Plan a small parade route and have the parade end up in a common area, local park or a blocked off street or back to your yard for a party.
