Pumpkin Patch
Add this fun festive decoration to your fall parties or use it as a craft for kids parties. Supplies needed to craft one pumpkin for your patch:
•1 Orange 11” balloon
Assembly: 1. Inflate one 11” orange balloon between 6 and 8 inches. Vary sizes for your pumpkin patch. 2. Cut 3 yards of green curling ribbon to create sections and trailing vine.
3. Tie green curling ribbon to the neck
of balloon, leaving a 12” tail.

again forming a
section. Fig. 12 should have eight sections. 7. Curl the ribbon of the short tail. You should be left with close to 24" of ribbon for the trailing vine. If you want a smaller trailing vine, then cut the ribbon to your desired length. Fig. 13 8. Cut out leaf patterns on crepe paper and and tie to the top of the pumpkin and along the tails. See pattern below.
Leaf Pattern: Double click on graphic for full pattern, then print and use as a template to cut out leaves.
Variations: I always like trying different variations on projects. Here are some ideas. 1. White pumpkins are in, so use a white balloon and orange ribbon. 2. Purple is also becoming a popular Halloween color so to use your pumpkin patch for a Halloween party, wrap orange balloons with purple curling ribbon. 3. For a scary Halloween patch, mix in black pumpkin balloons with white or orange ribbon and carefully use tacky glue to top it with some plastic spiders.
In the featured photo I used burlap material underneath my patch to make it look more earthy. You can also scatter straw or sit some on and around a mini straw bale.
