You will need two oven mitts and 2 peppers (use green or red peppers). Set up a starting line and a turnaround line. Divide guest into two teams. Each team member must wear the oven mitt and carry (open handed, no gripping with the thumb) the hot pepper to the turnaround line, turn around, and head back to the starting line. If it falls off they have to start over. Once back they pass it onto the next player. The first team to have all team members carry the pepper successfully up and back wins!
Give the winners a Hot Chili Pepper Flashing Necklace! |
You'll need a sombrero and some tortilla chips. Each guest gets one tortilla to toss into the sombrero. Set up a line to toss from and a point to set the sombrero on. You could have playoff rounds to get one winner or have enough prizes for all the winners.

Jumping Bean - Like Freeze Dancing, play Mexican/Latino music and tell the kids to jump like jumping beans. Stop the music, the kids must freeze. If they move or fall, they are out. Keep going until there's a winner or they get tired of jumping. Guess How Many Jumping Beans? - Use jelly beans and put in a decorative jar. Have a small paper for guest to write down their guess. Winner gets jar of jumping beans. Pass the Hat or Pass the Pepper - Play like "Hot Potato". Pin the Flower on the Cactus. Draw out a large cactus on green poster boards or use a cactus wall decor (Sorry, not available in our store). Make an outline for a flower on the tip of one branch. Cut out colorful paper flowers with the same design. Number them or write each child's name on a flower. Play the game like Pin the tail on the donkey. Use our piñata mask if you want to blindfold the player. Use some of my Dora the Explorer Ideas for entertaining the kids. |
