Use 5 photos of different flowers, trees or
plants native to your area of the country and hang around the party area. Give each guest a
piece of
paper with 1-5 numbered on it and a pencil or pen. Guest most identify the names of
each. Either have guests turn in sheets and you determine who has guessed the most or
gather everyone
around and review the answers together. The one with the most correct wins!
There may
be more than one winner so be prepared, if you decide to give out prizes. Give
prizes like small starter plants, seed packets,
garden gloves, garden kneel pad or garden tools.

Put guest
into pairs or smalls groups of 3 or 4. Give each pair or group a real rose
(remove stem thorns). Play some garden music and each group will pass the
rose and pick a petal off each time they have the rose. Give each team a
small bowl to drop the petals into. The person who picks off the
last petal wins! Give each winner a small prize like a pack of seeds, a
rose candle, or garden tool.
Collect all
rose petals to make a great potpourri for your new home. |
If party is outdoors, play yard games like croquet, bocce ball, or
badminton. |
