Use potted begonias for table centerpieces or silk flowers placed in center hole of an upside down clay pot.  Tie flower ribbon around the clay pot and finish with big bows. Or try  colorful wood bird houses.

Silk Flower Lights - Great for covered patios or outdoor tents.  Light sets can be connected.

How about using a clean wheel barrel to place gifts in! Tie balloons to the handles.

Use clean clay pots to hold utensils, rolled in napkins. Tie napkins with raffia, tuck a silk sunflower under the raffia or use our flower bracelets to secure the utensils.

GAME IDEAS

What's in the Garden

Pick a Petal

Yard Games

Use 5 photos of different flowers, trees or plants native to your area of the country and hang around the party area.  Give each guest a piece of paper with 1-5 numbered on it and a pencil or pen.  Guest most identify the names of each. Either have guests turn in sheets and you determine who has guessed the most or gather everyone around and review the answers together.  The one with the most correct wins!

There may be more than one winner so be prepared, if you decide to give out prizes.  Give prizes like small starter plants,  seed packets, garden gloves, garden kneel pad or garden tools.

Put guest into pairs or smalls groups of 3 or 4. Give each pair or group a real rose (remove stem thorns). Play some garden music and each group will pass the rose and pick a petal off each time they have the rose. Give each team a small bowl to drop the petals into.  The person who picks off the last petal wins! Give each winner a small prize like a pack of seeds, a rose candle, or  garden tool.

Collect all rose petals to make a great potpourri for your new home.

If party is outdoors, play yard games like croquet, bocce ball, or badminton.

ACTIVITIES

Flower Power

Spruce Up The Yard

Have guest work together to create an artificial arrangement.  Prior to the party pick up all the supplies you will need to have guest help create at least two or three indoor arrangements with flower colors/vase matching the decor of the home-owner.

This activity involves actually planting a small garden or a new tree for the new homeowners.  Make sure you let you guest know ahead of time, so they can dress appropriately and bring their garden tools.
