Jewelry Box

For this craft project, I purchased non-finished jewelry boxes from the craft store.  I hand painted each jewelry box with gold paint.   At the party each child was given a jewelry box to decorate with gems, sequences, and glitter glue.  I placed each jewelry box on a small dessert plate where each child had written their name.  When they are ready to go home they can carry the jewelry box easily if the decorating glitter has not dried.  I also took felt and using one jewelry box as a template I created a felt liner for each jewelry box. The guest picked a liner first before decorating and placed it in their jewelry boxes.
