Due
to demand, I have written this plan as best I can with little manufactured theme
items for Peter Pan out there. We do carry
Tinkerbell party supplies. I
hope this will help your Peter Pan Party Soar!

Peter Pan Hat Shape |
Message
In A Bottle |
|
|
I free hand
drew this Peter Pan hat shape. I cut it out and used it as a
template. Fold a piece of green memory paper or card stock in
half. Place the top tip of the hat on the fold, to create a card
style invitation. You could also just cut out the hat and put the party
information on the back. You could use construction paper, but it
won't be as sturdy. I cut a slit on the double lines, slipped through a
feather and taped it on the inside. Now just write your party details
inside.
Hat
Template- Reduce or enlarge to whatever size you want your invitation to
be. Also, use this template for the "Pin the Feather on Peter
Pan's Hat" game, I describe below.

Send a
message or a map to your Never Land Party in a bottle. Use cleaned out 12 oz plastic
bottles, remove labels. Roll your invitation to fit into bottle,
sprinkle some pixie dust (star confetti with a little colored sand) in
it. Hand deliver your
invitations. |

Never
Land Scenes
Make
signs for each scene. Choose all scenes or your favorites and play a
game a each station. I tried to create a game below for each
station. |
|
|
Mermaid
Lagoon |
Crocodile Creek |
Hangman's Tree |
| Create
a scene of water, sand, rocks, shells, and palm trees. Of course, you'll need a mermaid (Ariel or Barbie
mermaid doll will do) or at least a photo of one.
Use our
Tropical Scene Setter for your wall to create a lagoon or combine
any of our tropical
decorations. |
Create a creek using the
blue paper or felt fabric. Add a stuffed or inflatable crocodile and your set.
|
If party is
outdoors, use a large tree in the yard and hand a noose from a
branch (make sure it is not reachable by kids).
If party
indoors, create your own tree from brown construction paper or grocery
bags. Use removable wall mounts to hang it on your wall, no
leaves, just a few dead branches and a noose hanging from one of
them. |
|
Pirate's
Cove |
Indian
Camp |
Skull
Rock |
|
Below is a photo of a past party scene I created. You can create
your own Pirate's Cove in a corner of the room. Use any of our
tropical
decorations for background and add items like a parrot,
crab, lobster, netting, shells, skull head, small
chest filled with colorful play jewels. I used light color
burlap material on the bottom to get the sandy beach look.

|
Make
a small teepee village by using wood dowels sticks and paper bags.
Rubber band three wooden dowels together at the the top creating a
teepee frame. Cut open one side of a paper bag, tear the edges to give a
ragged edge. Decorate the teepee paper with Indian drawings with markers
or crayons. Estimate where a door opening will be and cut it out. Tape
with masking tape on edge of the paper bag to a wooden dowel on the
inside of the teepee. Wrap the remaining paper around to complete the
teepee and tape the edge down. Create two or three and place on top of
our burlap sacks. Paint miniature pottery pots and place outside tents.
Scatter a few feathers around too! |
I
also created a Skull Rock for a Pirate's Party. I covered a small table
with brown paper bags, used our burlap sacks, a Halloween skull
decorations and our
Pirate
Bandana. I added the poster display
board in the back with a sign I printed off saying "Skull
Rock".

Misty
Mountains |
Sea Of
Imagination |
|
Cut out Mountains from
Construction paper to hang on the walls. Cut out puffy white clouds from
white construction paper and hang over Mountains just below the tips.
Or make a cloud of white balloons in front of the
mountains. String white balloons together with fishing line and
hang across your mountain scene. |
Use
a small wading pool filled with water or make a sea scene like I did
with the lagoon.

Decor Items |
|
| Use
our coordinating solid color greens and gold or yellows to brighten your
party table. Roll the utensils in a napkin and then tie together with
our gold star garland. Use our Treasure Chest Piñata as a
table centerpiece. Sprinkle table with our star confetti, gold coins, iridescent
beads and mini telescopes. Beads and telescopes can be party favors for
girls and boys respectively. |

Set
up this party as an adventure through Never Land. Create all or just a few
scenes. Stop at each to play a related game or activity.

Pin the Feather
on Peter Pan's Hat
Using
the template above, enlarge it to cut our from green poster board a large
Peter Pan Hat. Get colored feathers from your local craft store and
put a little tape on them for the kids to try to pin the feather on the
hat. Use the two slash marks as the place to pin the feather or draw a
dotted outline of a feather on the hat.
Another
idea would be "Pin the Wing on Tinkerbell".
|
Pass
the Pixie Dust
Using
one of our tulle bags, fill it with gold confetti and shimmering gold
shred. Play like hot potato. Children sit in a circle and pass
around Pixie Dust bag. When the music stops the child with the Pixie
Dust just got dusted and must fly away from the circle.
|
Fly,
Fly, Away
Similar
to musical chairs. Cut out Never Land Islands from brown paper bags.
Make one less than the number of guests expected. If nine kids are at the
party, use eight islands. Place the islands on the floor or ground in a
circle. The children must pretend they are flying to Never Land, put their
arms out wide and fly in a circle around the islands while you play some
music. When the music stops, each child must find a Never Land Island to
land on. If they don't they are out of the game. Each time remove
one Island, until you are down to two children and one Island. The last
one to land on Never Land is the winner.

Mermaid
Wrap
|
Tic
Toc Croc
|
Pow-Wow
|
| Using
green or aqua color crepe paper. Set up teams of 3 or 4, one being the
mermaid, the others being the wrappers. Each team gets one roll of crepe
paper to wrap up their mermaid, starting from the bottom going up. The
first team to use up all of their crepe paper and has wrapped their
mermaid WINS! |
You
will need a loud sounding kitchen timer in which you can hear it tic.
This is a seek and find game. Hide the
ticking timer. The kids must search for the Croc by listening for the tic-toc.
The first to find it wins. This game can be played over many
times. |
A
version of duck, duck, goose. Have the children sit in a circle, and
select one person to be it. The child goes around and taps the other
children on the head, saying "Pow, Pow...until he selects one child
and says "WOW". The child selected must chase the other child
around the circle. The child who is being chased must get back to that
person's spot in the circle and sit down before being tagged. Once the
chase starts all other children should make Indian sounds by tapping their
hand over their mouth and saying "Wow, Wow,
Wow". |
Start
your party with an opening activity or use an activity as a station at a place in Never Land.
