Game similar to
pin the tail on the donkey. Cut out clovers from green construction
paper. Cut out a large pot or cauldron from black poster board.
You can cutout circles from yellow or gold paper and put near the top
for gold. Using Chalk outline where the clover needs to be placed
with dotted lines.
Use blind fold
or bandana and spin each child 4 times for good luck and face them
toward the pot to place their clover. The closet wins.
|
For this activity you need green jellybeans and a
large jar. Count the number of jellybeans you put into the jar.
Have each child write their name and their guess on a
piece of paper. Tell them their guess can't be over.
At the end of the party reveal the winner. The
closest guess without going over wins.
The prize is of course the jar of green
jellybeans!

This is a traditional party game. For fun use a real
potato and play some Irish music. |
|
This is just a variation from Simon Says.
But add some funny Irish twist to the game. |
Gather kids in a circle and pick one to start off the game.
This is played like the classic game of "Duck, Duck, Goose".
The first player walks around the circle of kids and
lightly taps their heads and says, "Luck". He then chooses a
player by tapping their head and saying "Gold". That player must
chase after the starting player and tag him/her before he/she gets back
to their empty spot in the circle. If the first player makes it back
they are safe. If he gets tag he's it again. |
Played like musical chairs but use large clover cutouts
taped to the floor or rug.
Put one less clover out than the number of children
playing. Play Irish music and have the kids go in circles around
the clovers. When the music stops, everyone must claim a clover. Only
one person per clover, so the child without a clover is eliminated.
Each time remove a clover. Continue playing until
there is one person left. |
