This
is a great ice-breaker to start the party. Write up names of items related
to a new home and toasting to a new home. As each guess arrives,
tape a index card to their back with the name of the item. Each guest has
to try to figure out what they are. They do this by asking questions to
other guests that can only be answered with a "Yes" or a
"No". No cheating...watch those mirrors. It's a fun to see how
many actually figure out what they are. No prizes need to be given, just
have fun with it.

Play
a version of the fun home game, "Taboo". Prior to the
party choose several Taboo words related to Toasting a New
Home. These words are words that cannot be used to play the
game. Go around the room and each guess gets 5 seconds to name an
item associated with a new home. If they can't guess within the 5 to 10
seconds their out. The last remaining person wins. Give out small
bottle of wine or wine charms to the winner. If you have couples at
the party let the couples be a team. Use an kitchen timer or stop
watch for the game.

Using one
cork per 5 guest, write/read a story about the home owners that will
constantly use the words "left" and "right". Every time someone hears
"right", they pass the cork to the right, the same goes for "left", pass
it to the left. At the end of the story, someone will end up with the
cork. Give these guest a fun little prize, like a decorative wine glass or a mini bottle of wine with a mini baby gouda wrap in some
netting and tied with curling ribbon.
